Solar for non-profits

Non-profits, churches, municipalities, and affordable housing organizations could really benefit from free solar electricity. They also have the highest barriers to going solar.

One reason for this is that non-profits can’t take the tax credits that homeowners and businesses can.  And, big upfront payments just aren’t an option.  That’s why we’ve seen precious few non-profits going solar in Florida.

But FL SUN is changing that. FL SUN is part of a network of programs in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, and West Virginia. Creative models are being developed to meet the non-profit needs of each state. If your organization would like to discuss options available in Florida, or if you have a creative idea, please contact us at solarteam@flsun.org.
